Dal 16 settembre vie e location storiche della città di Milano sono state invase da 80 statue di cuccioli di elefanti, trasformate in opere d’arte uniche da artisti nazionali e internazionali: Elephant Parade, la più grande esposizione d’arte open air, che opera in difesa dell’elefante asiatico
Starting Tuesday October 11, la Rinascente will dedicate 4 of its shop windows in via San Radegonda in Milano to Elephant Parade. During the next 2 weeks you will be able to admire the elephants of Katy Perry and Antonio Cagianelli as well as a small herd of other statues.
In occasion of the Design weekend organized by la Rinascente this coming weekend, the artist and designer Antonio Cagianelli on Friday October 7, will sign his elephant Rebel which is on exhibition at the 5th floor of the department store.

The design of Katy’s elephant was inspired by her California Dreams Tour and Candyfornia. Katy: “The crystals that adorn the elephant are precious, just like the Asian elephants that need our protection. Let’s raise awareness!”

Friday, September 16 – official inauguration of Elephant Parade Milano! Art, Business and Charity join hands in protection of the Asian elephant. From 16 September through 15 November 2011, 80 brightly painted elephant statues will swarm the streets of Milan.
