Art elephant meets real life counterparts

Dutch Elephant Parade artist Raymond Hoogendorp is working on his third art elephant, which will be showcased during the Elephant Parade Dierenpark Emmen 2010. Hoogendorp painted his last piece in a unique environment: in the Emmen zoo, with real Asian elephants closely watching over his shoulder. Isn’t it an amazing sight to see?

Colourful flower art

Artist Arie Koning is letting his environment inspire him: next Friday he will paint his elephant in the middle of the blooming flowerfields of Stompetoren, Netherlands. Koning’s elephant will be part of the Elephant Parade Dierenpark Emmen 2010. In his work, Koning paints the soul of the flower, with all its colour, brightness and joy. The elephant can be seen in Emmen from May 13th onwards.
