Elephant Parade is de grootste openluchttentoonstelling ter wereld die zich inzet voor het behoud van de Aziatische olifant. Vanaf zaterdag 1 september 2012 zullen 40 bontgekleurde kunstolifanten de straten van de stad Hasselt veroveren.

Last Saturday marked the end of the ‘ABN AMRO Elephant Parade Grand Auction’ sessions, where a total of S$1,781,000 was raised from the elephants that were put up for sale. From these proceeds, more than S$445,000 will go to The Asian Elephant Foundation and Wildlife Reserves Singapore Conservation Fund.

“I wanted to raise as much money for the cause as possible, so I asked a Vietnamese artist friend of mine, Le Quang Ha, to paint the elephants with me, so he agreed to paint for free!” – Bobby Chinn
