The inspiration for the Ferrari elephant came from the F1 pilot's outwear and emphasizes the fact that the company places peple and protection of the environment at the centre of its' interests through an important project called "Formula Uomo". The Maranello structures are an example of how industrial activity, quality of life, and the environment can coexist. Such compassion is found further in the continuing support Ferrari gives to the work of Telethon, through its Museum and its adhering to initiatives aimed at raising funds for research. The Telethon logo is even present on the racing suits of the drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa.
