"The elephant is painted with Thai ancient technique called “ Lai Rod Nam”, meaning, ornaments merging from washing the work with water, saw its best period in Ayudhaya (17th - 18th Century). The very important technique among the applied arts made by Thai, that of the design pure gold leaf applied over black lacquer. The scenes are taken from Ramakian story. Rama, the hero of the epic vanishing the evil power perpetrated by demon."
