Ply is a traditional Thai word for elephant, while Punta means 'thousand eyes’. This is a reference to a pineapple, often called 'the fruit with a thousand eyes'. The pineapple is the symbol of Pineapple Valley Golf Club located in Hua Hin, which is known as an international center of pineapple farming.
