"The eye shelters a dreamer while a hidden mask and tongue below depicts an elusiveness. The snake on the lips defines a mystical charm. The hands gripping the drape indicates strength. Thefuture is measured by the opening drawers on the elephant's trunk. The red head matchstick clinging on the forehead symbolises a struggle.My work identifies the elephant's timeless journey of struggle and change. From memory and influences, I was inspired by these images to depict the golden age of the elephant while paying homage to the Surrealists who had envisaged them in their paintings. Among them Salvador Dali,René Magritte, Giorgio de Chirico, Man Ray, Joan Miró and Max Ernst."
