An entirely self-taught calligrapher, Fung creates what he calls 'new scripts" that expand the visual experience of the written language. Using pictograms, all the natural elements of the environment are represented here: Mountains, clouds, thunder, lightening, rain, sun, moon, stars. "We are all part of nature."
