Sixty-five artists from the region of Bergen in The Netherlands attended the opening of the Elephant Parade Tour Bergen on the 22nd of August, 2010. The 75cm elephants decorated by these artists were being displayed in the garden of the Museum Kranenburgh. The reveal of one of these elephants, decorated by mayor Hetty Hafkamp, was the start of the fifth Elephant Parade exhibition.
One of the painted elephants from the tour was purchased by the municipality of Bergen to be displayed at Museum Kranenburgh. It was the first Elephant Parade art piece to find a permanent home in a museum.
