"In the old days, we used to have small trinkets made from wood, including wooden elephants that came in different sizes. They were made from a familiar material and inspired by the emotional connection we have with this particular animal. However, as time goes by, that memory begins to fade. Our elephants are slowly disappearing. If we don’t all help protect our elephants and other wild animals today, it’s very likely that one day we will be telling their stories only using statues, as they will no longer exist.
