Elephant Parade's herd is visiting Brussels thanks to our parade partner, Docks Bruxsel.
From 20th September until 4th November, the world's largest art exhibition of decorated elephant statues will be on display at the popular shopping district. Head over on Saturday 21st for the official opening - Belgium's opportunity to see these unique, socially-conscious artworks in person.
Docks Bruxsel show their support to raises awareness for elephant conservation by hosting the herd, supporting Elephant Family and Friends of the Asian Elephant charities.
The 26 painted elephants have been designed by a variety of artists, including globally recognised names, such as French fashion designer Agnes B and British fashion designer Paul Smith, as well as Italian pop artist Cristiano Cascelli and Dutch visual artist Barbara Wijnveld.
The Brussels edition of this well-known international event will include two brand-new, hand-painted designs, which will remain as permanent exhibits at Docks Bruxsel. The artists behind these two new elephants will be announced soon, and painting will be completed live on-site at Docks Bruxsel.
Alongside the exhibition, there will be a dedicated space where visitors can find out more about elephant conservation and the story behind Elephant Parade. A short documentary film will be shown, and children's art workshops will allow children to design their own miniature elephant statues.
Last but not least, an Elephant Parade® Pop-up Shop with limited edition, handcrafted replicas and a select range of products created by talented artists and celebrities from all over the world will be located at level 1. Be sure to stop by and take home your perfect elephants!
